Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care
At Heart & Hands, we care for seniors at all stages of life. Commonly that includes those who struggle with memory loss due to Alzheimer’s or dementia. Seniors who live with these types of conditions often need additional support to live their everyday lives. You can rely on the professional caregivers at Heart & Hands to go above and beyond to help support your loved one to live their best possible life.
It is our goal to be the companion and caregiver that your loved one needs. Those who live with Alzheimer’s or dementia often need constant cues throughout their lives, whether it’s letting them know it’s morning, that they need to eat lunch or take a shower. Our team will support your loved one throughout their day, as much or as little as they need it. We are here to keep their minds engaged with puzzles, folding laundry, playing games, and more. After all, an active mind promotes a healthy mind.
When our compassionate care staff interacts with your loved one, they will become an extension of your family. Keeping an open and constant flow of communication between the family and caregiver allows everyone to be informed at all times. Your loved one’s caregiver can accompany them to appointments and be a thorough note-taker, assist them with a run to the grocery store, or take them for a walk around the block. Being engaging and active are often excellent ways to promote better mental and physical health.
Often, a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer’s needs a caregiver to be with them for long periods of time. With Heart & Hands, you can be comfortable knowing that if you require a caregiver for 10-hours a day, it will be the same person throughout. Often with other home care organizations, they will assign five people to cover the shift. At Heart & Hands, we believe continuity of care is key to a successful care plan and hard to find anywhere else.
At Heart & Hands, we offer complete, quality care and meet your loved one where they are in life. Whether that is in their home, at a nursing facility, or in the hospital. We offer personal care, light housekeeping services, and companionship from the comfort of their own home. Click here for a full list of our in-home senior care offerings.
